Travelling to new places is such an enriching experience for the body & soul. I am out of my house at the first chance I get to travel. Since I have never been to a vineyard before, when The Wedding Trunk approached me to visit Soma Vine Village in Nashik, I couldn’t say no to this opportunity.

Me & The Wedding trunk team left Mumbai on 29th October at 8:30am & after a 4 hour drive we reached Soma Vineyards at around 1pm. The staff at Soma greeted us with a welcome drink “guess what it was” my favourite white wine. After we checked our luggage in the room, I was introduced to Mr Ajay – VP at Soma & we all headed straight for lunch at their in-house restaurant called Sufiyaana. The meal was delicious but of course we started the meal by toasting with a glass of wine. Later at around 5pm Mr Ajay took us for vineyard tour & explained the difference between how different types of grapes are harvested. Vineyard was so pretty that I couldn’t stop myself from clicking pictures. Here are some of the pictures I clicked there.
After the vineyard tour we saw the winery where the juice is extracted from grapes & the wine is processed. It was really interesting to see the actual process but my favourite part of the evening was the wine tasting session. It really broadened my knowledge of wine & now I know exactly which wine suits my palette. Mr Ajay being an amazing host also gave us a tour of the entire property. It wasn’t a surprise for me when I heard that a lot of people host their weddings at Soma. I mean it’s a beautiful location for a vineyard theme wedding wherein they have different cool locations to host different wedding functions. Below are some of the pictures from the previously held weddings at Soma.
Day 1 ended with a nice warm meal at the same restaurant & the second day after having a queen size breakfast I packed my things, clicked few more pictures at different locations & left for home. It was a refreshing experience & I personally loved the concept of a vineyard theme wedding. The place is so beautiful by itself that you don’t need to spend a bomb on decoration. I feel like getting remarried here.
